Adrian Huang: 2011 Subaru STI

Like many kids when growing up, Adrian Huang played car racing games on gaming consoles and has always been driven to games where he could customize the vehicle he was racing with. Years later, Huang was introduced to the well known Japanese anime Initial D which added an appreciation of "the driver mod" to any build.

Huang bought his 2011 Subaru STI in late 2010. "It was bought sight unseen," mentions Huang, "and was the first STI to be ordered in Ontario." In fact, the salesperson didn't have the car in the system before the purchase and had to have his General Manager put in the order request. Huang decided to modify the STI because it is an expression of his passion and love for the car and the car scene.

"Because I was one of the first in Canada to own, at that time, a Borg Warner EFR series Turbo, everything had to be custom made/relocated in the engine bay," states Huang. Neetronics and Matt Morgado @ GT Customs helped him realize his build and got her running. During this 5 year build process, Huang had ups and downs but more downs in general, including an engine failure from poor craftsmanship from the first shop who fabricated for him.
