Jesse Delgado: 1986 VW Cabriolet

Jesse Delgado's story with VWs started with his first car, an Mk4 2.0L Jetta. "Through high school I discovered the massive amounts of web sites and groups dedicated to VAG cars," he mentions. From there to now, Delgado has gone through countless VWs, learning from each one. His 1986 VW Cabriolet is by his favorite by far. "I was going for a track ready car that can hold it's own at a show," Delgado states. The Cabriolet has gone through many engine swaps, from a 2.0L supercharged engine to the 3.6L that it now boasts. "I've rented a storage unit with a few friends for a few years," he mentions, "that has given me inspiration." When Delgado would see their build's progress it pushed him to keep shooting higher.
