Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG) is proud to announce its partnership with the 2015 Fitted Lifestyle event series (www.fittedlifestyle.com). 2015 will mark the 3rd consecutive year for Tuner Battlegrounds #TBGLIVE at Fitted and will allow confirmed registered competitors to join and participate in a head-to-head challenge. Tuner Battlegrounds is an online bracket-style tournament facilitated on www.tunerbattlegrounds.com, and awards the winner with a print feature in an upcoming issue of PASMAG! Tuner Battlegrounds will be integrated into Fitted Ottawa as a separate award category called #TBGLIVE. A #TBGLIVE competition will start at the beginning of the week leading up to Fitted Ottawa. Rather than PASMAG's internal staff acting as judges to select the winners, that responsibility will fall in the hands of the audience (the fans, show-goers and friends and family of the competitors), similar to a "People's Choice" award. With a click of a button, the audience will be able to vote and choose their winners, one Stage after another. At the end of each Stage, the Competitor with the highest number of votes will advance to the next Stage
To compete in the Tuner Battlegrounds: #TBGLIVE Battle award category, Competitors (Tuners) MUST follow the following steps:
1. Register for 2015 Fitted Ottawa at www.FITTEDLIFESTYLE.com/competitor-registration.
2. Once Fitted has confirmed registration for the event, Register to compete in Tuner Battlegrounds at www.tunerbattlegrounds.com/register (2015 Fitted: Ottawa, ON (Jul 11, 2015) to be selected in the "Event Affiliation" field).
A Competitor Profile will be created and displayed on the Competitors Page if you have been selected to compete. Qualification is based on the accuracy and quality of the completed/submitted registration form (information and photos). A select number competitors will qualify to enter the Battle Stages (elimination rounds). In the Battle Stages, Competitors will battle against each other, one Stage after another. HOW TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT STAGE?
When the Battle Stages begin, Competitors must campaign for and obtain votes on their profile page at www.tunerbattlegrounds.com. Rather than PASMAG's internal staff acting as judges to select the winners, that responsibility will fall in the hands of the audience (the fans, show-goers and friends and family of the competitors). With a click of a button, the audience will be able to vote and choose their winners, one Stage after another. At the end of each Stage, the Competitor with the highest number of votes will advance to the next Stage.
FINAL STAGE: The Top 2 Competitors will battle against each other on-site at the event by gathering votes via text. Similar to previous stages, the competitors are encouraged to campaign for votes. A Text-to-Vote telephone number and Short Code will be assigned to the 2 Competitors to gather votes.
HOW TO VOTE?
Connect with your Facebook login using the Facebook Login widget, select (or search for) a competitor name/profile then click the star on their page when it's active (see Schedule). During the Elimination Stages, voting is limited to 1(one) vote per Facebook account per 24 hours of the posted Selected Competitors. In the Final Stage, voting is limited to 1(one) vote per telephone number of the posted Finalists.
ARE VOTERS REWARDED?
Voters have the opportunity to win an assortment of items from PASMAG - event tickets, stickers, keychains, magazines, t-shirts, sponsorship opportunities with partners, and much more (to be announced). Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Instagram.
