Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG) is proud to announce its partnership with Drive Marketing Group at the Vancouver International Auto Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, March 23 to Sunday, March 27, 2016. A Tuner Battlegrounds #TBGLIVE competition will be added to the event as a unique award category, similar to a "People's Choice" award. Only pre-registered and confirmed competitors of the event are able to participate and join this online, bracket-style, head-to-head challenge on www.tunerbattlegrounds.com. Rather than PASMAG staff selecting the winner of the #TBGLIVE award category, this responsibility falls on YOU - the automotive enthusiasts, fans, show-goers and friends and family of the competitors and/or event. With a click of a button (voting is enabled via Facebook) or creating a new post with a designated hashtag (Instagram, Twitter), the audience will be able to vote and select their favorite competitor(s) from stage to stage (rounds). The winner of the #TBGLIVE award category receives an exclusive print feature in PASMAG! Read below for more details.

To compete in the Tuner Battlegrounds: #TBGLIVE Battle award category, Competitors (Tuners) MUST follow the following steps:
STEP 1: EVENT PRE/ADVANCE REGISTRATION
Drive Marketing Group will select the competitors.
STEP 2: #TBGLIVE AWARD CATEGORY REGISTRATION
Once Drive Marketing Group has confirmed registration, participate in the Tuner Battlegrounds #TBGLIVE award category competition by filling out our registration form at HERE.
*Select March 25-26, 2016: Vancouver International Auto Show (Vancouver, BC) in the "Event Affiliation" field.
STEP 3: #TBGLIVE COMPETITOR PROFILE UPLOAD
If you have qualified to compete, a competitor profile will be created and displayed on the Competitors Page. Qualification is based on the accuracy and quality of the completed/submitted registration form (information, photos). A select number competitors will qualify to enter the Battle Stages (elimination rounds). In the Battle Stages, competitors will participate in the online competition, one stage after another.
Registration for the #TBGLIVE Award Category at the Vancouver International Auto Show closes on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.
HOW TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT STAGE?
When the Battle Stages begin, competitors must obtain votes on www.tunerbattlegrounds.com. Rather than PASMAG staff selecting the winner of the #TBGLIVE award category, this responsibility falls on YOU - the fans, show-goers and friends and family of the competitors and/or event. With a click of a button (voting is enabled via Facebook) or creating a new post with a designated hashtag (Instagram, Twitter), the audience will be able to vote and select their favorite competitor(s) from stage to stage. At the end of each stage, the competitor with the highest number of votes will advance to the next Stage.
HOW TO VOTE?
In the elimination stages, visitors to the Tuner Battlegrounds website simply log-in with their existing Facebook account credentials using the integrated Facebook Login widget. Once logged in, visitors can vote for their favorite competitor(s) by clicking the star on the top of a competitor profile page when enabled (see Schedule). Voting is limited to 1(one) vote per Facebook account per 24 hours of the posted qualified competitors. In the Final Stage, create a new post on Instagram and/or Twitter using the announced hashtag. Only one hashtag is counted per new post (hashtags edited onto existing posts are not counted). For every ten (10) new hashtag mentions, a competitor will get one (1) vote. Vote totals reset to 0 (zero) at the end of each stage.
FINAL STAGE
The Top Two (2) competitors will battle against each other on-site at a dedicated Tuner Battlegrounds booth (if one is provided) at the event by gathering votes online. Similar to previous stages, the competitors are encouraged to campaign for votes, this time, by generating a new post on Instagram and/or Twitter with a dedicated hashtag, which is announced before the final stage of voting.
ARE VOTERS REWARDED?
Voters have the opportunity to win an assortment of items from PASMAG - event tickets, stickers, key-chains, magazines, t-shirts, sponsorship opportunities with partners, and much more (to be announced). Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Instagram.
